The Vaynol Estate
is a truly magical place where the past and the present meet between the mountains and the sea.
The estate consists of 500 acres of parkland and gardens enclosed within a seven mile-stone wall that protected it from the ravages of time.
Over the last 20 years the Estate has seen a resurgence in its popularity, following years of obscurity hidden behind its mysterious walls. The Faenol is now better known not just for its historic interest, but also site for major events.
The present owner Myfyr Wynne Jones and Chairman of Glangwna Estates can rightly be considered as the Wales equivalent of Michael Eves of the Internationally recognised Glastonbury Festival
The Estate came to its own as an events location when it played host to the highly successful Bryn Terfel Faenol Festival. It has also hosted many other high-profile events such as the Welsh National Eisteddfod, one of the biggest outdoor travelling cultural events in Europe. The North Wales Summer Pops, and who can forget possibly the best ever BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend which was hosted by the Estate in 2010 headlined by Alicia Keys and Cheryl Cole. Over the years the estate has hosted major international stars such as Dame Shirly Bassey, Hosea Carreras Andrea Bocelli, Katherine Jenkins and show stopping performance by Michael Ball, John Barrowman, Elaine Page, Van Morrison as well as pop acts like Girls Aloud Westlife and Boyzone to name but a few.
